Volunteer with us

In the Library

You may not be financially compensated if you're a volunteer, but it still pays well!

If you're interested in volunteering, please call, email, or come and see us in the library. We are looking not just for counter staff and help with shelving books, but also for help in more specific areas such as IT Tuition, children's literacy, craft activities and fundraising,

Please have a look at the rest of this page for further information or email the library with your questions:
info@haddenhamcommunitylibrary.org.uk

Do you run a club or wish to start one?

Perhaps the library is your ideal venue. We would love to hear from you with your ideas as to how we might further support our local community. Contact the library via the email link above.

One of our volunteers was recently featured in a Prima magazine article on volunteering.

fundraise

Haddenham Community Library is a charity. We work hard to maintain our income so that we can continue to offer our services to our local community and to be able to plan for development of our offering. We are very grateful to our regular donors, some of whom are organisations, others individuals. We hold our own events to raise funds, but we also enjoy the proceeds of other fundraising events which are organised on our behalf by our supporters.

There have been cake sales and donations in lieu of birthday presents. Some community libraries enjoy the proceeds from charity auctions and golf days. Your creativity is the only limit!

Get in touch and tell us your ideas.

Amazon Smile

This is what Amazon says:

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on amazon.co.uk. The difference is that when customers shop through the URL smile.amazon.co.uk, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of eligible purchases to the charitable organisations selected by customers.

Haddenham Community Library has signed up to be a beneficiary charity of this scheme. If you would like to support us, every time you place an order through Amazon Smile, choose us as your beneficiary charity and we will receive a donation from Amazon equal to a percentage of your order. Nothing changes in regard to your ordering, but everything changes for us!

Thank you for your support!

be a friend

Haddenham Community Library is developing a Friends programme which we hope to be able to launch very soon. As soon as we are able, we will be organising events, meetings, readings, outings and a newsletter to keep our supporters active and interested in our work.

Keep an eye open here and for social media announcements that the programme is up and running. We look forward to seeing you soon.
